Profile :: History of DC Eldoret

The Eldoret Church popularly known as Praise Celebration Centre was launched in November 1988. It lies on a five-acre piece of land, on which sits a 6000-seater sanctuary, church offices, Sunday school facility, a school, a clinic among others.
It was launched through film shows, crusades, rallies, and seminars at the old Mosop cinema hall. As a result of diligence in the work done the church grew into two services and eventually into three as initial venue of worship became smaller.

The Challenge of Growth

As the church increased and grew over the years the place for worship became a challenge as the hall became smaller. This forced services to be conducted in tents, in the open field under trees, in the stadiums before eventually moving to the current facility.

Church Planting

Through Eldoret, Churches have been planted in Kitale, Kapenguria, Kakamega, Webuye and Nyamira. Over 75 churches have been planted in every development centre (Municipality centers, District and Divisional Headquarters) of the vast North Rift region.
The process of church planting is ongoing and many more churches are in the process of being founded.

The Church Ministry

The Church Ministers to the whole family (Parents, Youth, Children, Men, Women, Professionals students and special cases in the society)

The Church is a missionary base that reaches out to the lost, disciples the believers and equips them for service. The church is actively involved in Mission work both locally and overseas. It believes in the raising of sons in the faith for effective work.

The members are drawn from different backgrounds and are strongly united with the cords of love in Jesus Christ. The locals form almost fifty percent of the total population of the church, with the remaining percentage comprising of people who are drawn from outside the region.

Diversity

Worship

We believe in worship, as this is the sacrifice of our lips to the Lord.
This act of worship invites the presence of God and we get to magnify Him humbling before Him. We give Him the reverence and the Preeminence in our lives.
We celebrate the LORD and rejoice in His wonderful acts. (Colossians 3: 16)
The Music department (Impact Choir) produces music, develops talent and worship leaders identify and create opportunity for singing, dancing and reciting poems and praying as expressions of our worship to GOD.

The Word

The Ministry of the Word is given emphasis as we consider this as God speaking to His people after they have ministered to Him.
The essence of our services is to complete a relational cycle where God and man have unflawed communion. In deed every activity in the service is given every duly attention as an act of service/worship to the LORD, be it ushering, car marshalling (Car Parking), singing or receiving of the guests. Giving is a worship response and is part of the worship.
The ministry believes in a living God who reaches out to His people. Miracles, signs and wonders are considered daily bread to believers in this place. The leadership of the Holy Spirit is given the Preeminence that it deserves. In filling of The Holy Spirit and the manifestation of the gifts of the Spirit are regular occurrence in this place of power.
